We kindly ask that you attend your hair appointments alone as our shop has limited space and only a couple of chairs that are reserved for clients. This allows us to ensure a comfortable and focused experience for everyone. Babies and children in prams may attend but must remain seated and quiet throughout your appointment. Yes! Afterpay is available in-salon for any service or product purchases.

If you're running late to your appointment, we kindly ask that you reach out ahead of time. It's important for us to make adjustments as early as possible to ensure that all clients receive the same high standard of service.

We use high-quality, professional products at Hair by Jazy. Our basin and retail products are from Davroe.

We'd love to be a part of your hair extension journey! All new extension clients must book an in-salon consultation. Prices for extension vary depending on the length, colour, thickness, etc, meaning we cannot quote for them over the phone/message. Click here to schedule your consultation appointment.

Tape-in extensions are a semi-permanent hair extension, attached to the natural hair with an adhesive strip. At Hair by Jazy we use high quality tape-in hair extensions. Our extensions are ethically sourced remy human hair and have a natural, healthy look. Tape in extensions are suitable for most hair types and can be used to add length, thickness and volume. Our extensions come in a variety of colours and styles to suit your hair goals.

All clients must book an in-salon consultation prior to any extension services. Consultations are free and can be booked here.

Tape-in extensions require regular upkeep. Tape-ins are attached to the hair and will grow out at the same rate as your natural hair growth, meaning they must be removed, retaped and reinstalled every 4-6 weeks. At Hair by Jazy, we do our retaping appointments over 2 sessions - removal, then reinstall the following day/s.

When installed and maintained correctly, tape-ins will not cause any damage to the hair. Its extremely important to follow the maintenance guide tailored to you. Tape-ins must not be left in the hair any longer than 7-8 weeks between retaping appointments. The more frequent causes of damage to the natural hair occurs when retaping appointments exceed 7-8 weeks, or frequently wearing hairstyles that cause lots of tension (ie, tight ponytails). Your hair will continue to shed at the normal rate (approx 100 hairs a day). Natural hair that has shed will remain trapped between the extensions until removal. This is not hair loss, just your natural shedding.

Yes, your extensions can be heat styled. Heat protection is essential when styling extension hair. Hot tools should be set on 180°c or lower and blow dry on medium heat. Hot tools should only be used 1-2 times weekly. Do not iron over the adhesive strip. Heat will loosen the adhesive and may cause the extension to slip or fall out.

Your tape-in extensions will last approximately 6-9 months. The lifespan of the extensions is determined b y the manufacturer and will depend on proper care by you. It's important to follow the maintenance guide tailored to you/ Tape-in extensions need to be removed and reinstalled every 4-6 weeks.

Please be mindful when using sunscreen and fake tanning products they may affect your hair extensions. Most of these products have an active ingredient known as Methoxybenzolmethane or Avobenzone. This ingredient will cause them to take on a pinkish/orange tone. The colour change and damage to the hair is irreversible. To avoid this damage, only use mineral sunscreens and tanning products and ensure they are free of Avobenzone.

No! Please be mindful that none of your products contain any form of protein. Protein may appear on the ingredient list in forms of oat, wheat, rice, keratin, soy milk, lipids and vegetable proteins. Products that use keywords such as Repair, Strengthen, Restore or Rebuild, often contain proteins. The use of proteins can cause irreversible damage to your extensions. It is your responsibility to avoid this damage.

Not really… Oils can only be used safely on extensions when you’re not heat styling. The melting point of most oils used in hair products (argan, coconut, macadamia, almond, etc) is 70c, meaning your extensions are being “fried” every time they’re heat styled. We recommend avoiding oils and using a serum instead. We’ll recommend the best one for your extensions in-salon!

We offer Afterpay in-salon so that you can choose to pay in instalments if that’s what you’d prefer. If you’d like to organise an alternative payment, please reach out to us directly. Extensions will need to be paid for in full prior to installation.
